What we store

Your account name, email, password hash, subscription references and access dates. For activation we store a hash of your Mac’s hardware identifier, a device public key, the device name you send, and the last validation time. We do not receive your Mac’s serial number, private device key, Steam password, lua.tools session or game library.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your name, verified email address and a stable account identifier with MacTools. We use that identifier to sign you in and do not store Google access or refresh tokens. We request only basic identity information; we do not access Gmail, Drive, contacts or your Google password. Your browser is redirected to Google for authentication.

Account emails

Resend processes transactional account emails, such as email verification and password reset messages. It receives the recipient address, message contents and delivery metadata. We use these emails for account access and support.

Payments

Stripe processes your subscription payments. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout and are not stored by MacTools. Stripe receives your account email and name for billing.

Why and for how long

These records let us manage your account, subscription and single-Mac activation, and handle security or support requests. Account and activation records are retained while needed for these purposes; billing records may need longer retention. Security logs may include request IP addresses. No advertising trackers are used.

Website analytics

Public pages use our self-hosted OpenPanel to measure page views and general visitor statistics. Requests may include your IP address and browser information for approximate location and device statistics. We send the page path and referring site, without URL queries or fragments. We do not identify your account, send your email or activation key, or record sessions. Analytics is excluded from sign-in, account and admin pages and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Your choices

You can cancel in the billing portal. Contact the project owner to request access, correction or deletion of your account data, subject to any required billing retention.
